Today i wouls like to share the recipe of Daal Tadka a easy and healthy lentil(daal) based soup or thick lentil curry is mainly eaten with rice or with indian flat-breads i.e. Roti or chapati. This recipe simple cooked lentil, with onion garlic tampering on it to make it more delicious and flavourful. There are various way of making daal tadka but as always 'm telling you the easiest and quickest way to make it. This recipe is liked by all age groups from kids to adults, it is healthy recipe, lentils having lots of protein and nutrition, it is advisable to consume lentil 4 times a week to keep yourself healthy anf Fit.

Ingredients📃


• ½ cup of toor Daal.
• 1 chopped onion.
• 1 chopped Tomato.
• 2 inch of grated ginger.
• 3-4 chopped cloves of Garlic.
• 2 chopped Green Chilli(optional).
• 4 tbsp of Desi ghee(Clarified butter).
• 1 tbsp of cumin seeds.
• Pinch of asafoetida.
• ½ garam masala.
• 1 tbsp of turmeric powder.
• ½ red chilli powder.
• 1 tbsp of coriander powder.
• 5 cup of water.
• Salt to taste.
• green coriander leaves for garnish.

Rinse the toor daal thrice or twice to Remove the dirts, Soaked it for 15-20 minutes. Your toor daal absorb water which helps it cook it quickly.

In a pressure cooker, add the toor daal, turmeric powder and salt, mix it well. Add 5 cups of water.

pressure cook for 5 whistles or till dal gets cooked completely. Keep it aside.

Now take a kadai, Heat the Desi ghee, and splutter 1 Tbsp of cumin seeds & Pinch of asafoetida. Then add the chopped Ginger & garlic.

Now add the chopped onion, Saute it low flame untill onions get golden brown in color.

then add 1 chopped tomato and saute till it turns soft and mushy. Then on flow flame add coriander powder, garam masala, Red chilli powder & Pinch of Salt.

add the cooked dal along mix well.
further add ½ cup water and adjust the consistency.

simmer for 5 minutes or till dal turns smooth and absorbs flavour.

Serve the Hot Dal Tadka with Stream rice or Roti, to enhance it flavours add the one tbsp of desi ghee to make it more templt
