YEs , it can happen when they not regularly update the pages when they sell out, so old products remain on the page that are no longer in the store. After that they try to send a smaller model in the hope that they will fit, I have heard this, but I have never received shoes like this way . But So far it has been the same with me here in my local city what normal shop :)) , I get too expensive prices lot times from the local store, and the cheap boots what I also take break too quickly.
