in Hive Foodyesterday (edited)

Hello friends how are you all I hope you all are fine I am also fine so today I will share a recipe of a Pakistani dish with you all this dish’s name is yogurt chicken curry and in our language we call it (dahi chicken). And this dish is my favorite I really like yogurt chicken curry especially with boiled rice. I did not make yogurt chicken curry alone my mom helped me in it because I do know cooking but not that much I know baking more but I really like both cooking and baking because I enjoy them a lot and in the end I get to eat yummy yummy things. So let’s start making this yogurt chicken curry.

Ingredients

To make yogurt chicken curry we need these things.

  1. Chicken

  2. Yogurt

  3. Garlic

  4. Green chilli's

  5. Salt

  6. Red chili powder

  7. Cumin and Coriander powder

  8. Vinegar

  9. Oil

  10. Rice

  11. saffron

And that’s it these are the things needed to make it.

preparing the spices

So first we prepare the spices. For that I took 1 big size garlic and some green chilli's as I wanted. Then I took 3 spoon red chili powder 3 spoon salt and 2 spoon Cumin and Coriander powder then I put all these in the juicer then I added 1 glass vinegar in it. Then I grinded all of them well in the juicer.

Marinating the chicken

Now I took 750 gram yogurt then I added this spices mixture in it and mixed it well. Now I took total 3 chicken then I put cuts on the chicken pieces so the spices can absorb well. Now I put them in this yogurt curry mixture and covered them well with this yogurt mixture. And in the end I covered it well and kept it in the fridge overnight keeping it overnight increases the taste even more.

Frying the chicken pieces

So now in the next morning I took it out from the fridge then I took a big pot then I added a little oil in it. Now when the oil got hot I fried the chicken pieces in it one by one. And you have to fry it until its color becomes golden brown. And remember before frying the chicken pieces remove the extra curry from it with your hand otherwise it will burn. After frying all the chicken well put it in a big pot. And put the yogurt curry that was left over on the chicken. Now the oil in which the chicken was fried also put it on it and then keep it to cook in low flame After some time it will get cooked.

Boiled saffron rice

Now we make the rice. So I took 8 cup rice and soaked it in water for 2 hours so the rice becomes a little soft. Now I took half cup warm water then added a little saffron in it so it gives its color.
Now I put water in a big pot to boil the rice then added salt in the water then kept it to boil. When the water boiled I added the rice and kept the rice to soften. When the rice becomes soft remove its water. Now on the other side heat ghee in a pot then pour it on the rice. Add 1 cup water in the rice. Now the saffron that I added in the water pour it on one side of the rice. Now close the lid of the pot and keep the rice to cook in low flame. So in this way our rice is also ready.

final result

In the end I made my plate I put some rice then on the side one chicken piece and some curry with some salad. And trust me it turned out very very tasty my whole family enjoyed it a lot and today some guests also came to our house they also liked it a lot everyone was praising a lot. And it was very spicy so if you don’t like too spicy then add less spices. Pakistani people really like spicy food and I really like spicy food that’s why I made it very spicy. So how did you like this Pakistani dish. If you liked it then tell me in the comments and thank you so much for supporting me.

That’s all for today. I will be back soon with something new to share. Until then, stay happy and keep supporting.
