CEBU HERE WE COME: Traveling is not for me?

It was my first time traveling far away. It took almost 10 hours. We had to endure tiredness, exhaustion and seasickness because we chose this place to attend our oath-taking ceremony.

I slept at my friend's house. Since we didn't know the exact time the bus would pass by, we woke up early at 1:30 a.m. and left at 2:45 a.m. We were still sleepy and I felt tense. I don't like traveling much.

From 2:45 to 5:30 a.m., we waited for the bus. It finally arrived, but sadly all the seats were already taken so we need to stand until other passengers got off at their stops. I really felt so sick from the travel that I sat on the floor at the back, next to my friends. After almost an hour on the road, a seat finally became available. The worst part was when I vomited, but I actually felt relieved afterwards.

We paid 535.00 for the bus fare from Cpsu to Cebu City.

It felt like forever riding the bus. We arrived at the port. All the passengers got off and paid for a ferry ticket. We paid 170.00 from Port Bato to Cebu City.

After paying, we headed toward the ferry and looked for the most comfortable seats we could find since there were a lot of available chairs for the passengers. My friends chose seats at the middle. We waited because they gave passengers time to settle down, eat breakfast and find a comfortable spot.

When it was about to leave, the engine started and the ferry moved- it was one of the dizziest moments of my life. It felt really uncomfortable. I was still feeling sick from the bus ride, and now it was happening again. I remembered that I have taken medicine while paying for the ticket, and it seemed to help my system.

While I was still feeling a bit dizzy, laylay and I decided to stand up and breathe some sea air to lessen the discomfort.

I felt a lot better standing and breathing in fresh air. I took pictures of Laylay.

With that bluish water, my vomit felt like it was turning back to where it came from. Lol. I loved the view so much that I lost track of time and didn't realize we were already near the port. We got off the ferry together with the bus.

They let us eat lunch, but I didn't eat heavy food because I was scared of feeling sick and having my stomach rumble. I only ate a biscuit and drank plenty of water to ease the hunger.

After awhile the bus left. The trip from the port to the city took almost 5 hours. It was a zigzag road, which made me even dizzier, but the view was amazing. The place was surrounded by the blue ocean.

After what felt like forever on a bus, we finally reached the city. My friend's sister, who worked in the city, met us and became our tour guide. She also booked our budgetel and was the one who processed our tickets.

Just look at these exhausted faces. Despite the exhaustion, my friends still threw jokes and laughed at the top of their lungs.

After we settled into our room, we decided to head out and find something to eat. We ordered lechon baboy with this unfamiliar, aesthetic-looking rice wrapped in coconut leaves.

I was amazed at how the road worked. There were police outposts on every street. They followed rules and policies, jaywalking is considered a shameful act for them. While crossing the street, I could imagine the Japan scenes I had scene in movies.

After eating, we strolled around the mall and headed back to the budgetel to rest and prepare for tomorrow's event.

I totally forgot about the eggs we brought on our trip. We brought 8 eggs and there were a lot left, but we were too full to eat them. They wouldn't be spoil easily because the room was air-conditioned.

The travel was a total mess but thank God we arrived safe and sound.

This ends my blog. Thanks for reading and stopping by. Lovelots😚

Thank you so much @asean.hive

Welcome to Cebu City! The journey me and my daughter's do when we transferred to live here in Cebu was also full of dizziness when we travel by the ship. The waves are big and that makes my daughters first ship experienced turn into trauma. Cebu is a dazzling place with so much places you can enjoy to explore from northern part to southern part and of course the City. Thanks for sharing your story.

You're not wrong with that @dreamrona. Cebu city has a lot to offer really and it makes me amazed by just the southern part, we didn't have much time to explore more places tho.

I hope your daughter will feel better on your next travel so she can enjoy her travels. ☺️ Thanks for dropping by.

It was not easy, especially with the long hours and seasickness, but you made it through. I hope you have more comfortable travels sa pagbalik. Enjoy your oathtaking.

My travel back was smooth. Maybe because of the tiredness we were asleep the whole travel. I didn't know that we were near our destination- it was like I was floating. 😂 Go with flow nalang sa mga kasama kasi sobrang antok.

What a memorable journey.Even though the trip was long and exhausting, I'm glad you arrived safely. Thanks for sharing your travel experience and beautiful photos. Enjoy your time in Cebu🤝

You're absolutely right! You're welcome and yes, we definitely enjoyed our stay. ☺️

Cebu City has a lot to offer—from scenic views and delicious food to exciting adventure activities. 😊

Yas! Worth all the travel, exhaustion and seasickness. 😁
