Travel Post 40 - Shopping Around In Meizhou, China + Shaxian Snacks Again

in TravelFeed5 days ago

Hi there. In this travel post our group is still in Meizhou, China. We visit the Old Town area and have food at Shaxian snacks restuarant again.

Some Shopping Around In Meizhou

Our family friend shows us around in this one part of Meizhou, China. My dad wanted to buy these red Chinese lanterns that light up nicely while we were here. A big part of our China trip was shopping along with tourism and food.

I don't exactly know where this area is. All I know is that you can easily get lost in this area if you are unfamiliar with this section.

Here is the one shop that sells many light up Chinese lanterns. Very colourful.

Random Supermarket Photos

Around dinner time we decided to walk a bit and explore a different part near our hotel. After 10 minutes of walking we check out this supermarket. It is called Bai Sheng Jia Supermarket.

I wish I took more pictures here. Sorry for bad picture quality on a few pictures. Maybe I did not hold the phone still. Images from my Redmi Note 13 Pro.

Shaxian Snacks Restaurant Again

We visit our favourite budget restaurant in Meizhou again. It is Shaxian Snacks.

Fried Wonton Dumplings With Fish Ball Paste Inside

Steamed Rice With Egg, Veggies and Pork Belly

Fried Rice

Chicken Herbal Soup (I Think)

Instant Noodles With Egg & Steak

This place did have a steak dish available. I wanted to try it out to see what it was like. The price was pretty affordable too.

Having instant noodles with steak is unusual but it works here. The sauce is peppery and is similar to gravy that goes with mashed potatoes. For something less than 10 CAD this steak dish is nice. Steak in the Toronto, Canada area easily goes for at least 20 Canadian dollars and higher.

Thank you for reading.
