Hello , Hi , Namaste to all hive users reaching this post , hope doing great . Today I made really delicious and yummy momos as home today , also known as dumplings 🥟.
This was the 2 nd time I tried making momos ,1st attempt was failed 😅 but this time it was successful.
So here's the recipe of momos -
I took few vegetables only , cabbage, soyabean chunks .
Didn't used onion and garlic because tomorrow is ekadashi , and my mother do fast for it , that's why she can't consume Onion garlic in the last meal before her fast gets started. Almostly Its common for all people who do fast in India .
Started with boiling the cabbage for 5 min in water as per my mothers advice 😀.
Took 1/3 part of the cabbage in use and then chopped it finely.
Then grinded the soya chunks.
Simultaneously chopped a little amount of ginger and chilli.
Heres all the ingredients ready for the filling.
As the ingredients are ready ,then lets fry them all properly.
Take some oil in a pan ,add cumin seeds , chopped chilli and ginger in it .
Simultaneously start adding cabbage and soyachungs ,mix it properly.
Then add soya sauce, vineger and salt ( according to your taste) in it .
Fry it for atleast 10 minutes and your filling is ready.
Now lets move on towards the dough.
For this take some refined flour ( maida ) , add a little amount of oil and salt in it . Knead it properly using luke warm water and remember not to make it sticky.
Start making small balls and roll it by applying a little refined flour in the base ,so that it gets rolled easily.
Then start adding filling in it and apply little water in the edges using fingers. Start closing it further.
Simultaneously prepare all of them and set them in the steamer for 10-15 minutes.
And here are momos are ready, serve them with a spicy dip.
