在這片土地上,蚵仔煎做為知名夜市小吃,在人們的印象中始終佔有一席之地,無論是熱鬧的夜市,還是隱身在巷弄裡的老店,都有店家賣蚵仔煎,廚師在熱鐵板上放下裹上地瓜粉粉漿的蚵仔,在粉漿半熟時,打入雞蛋,再放入青菜,讓整體口感更有層次,等到蚵仔煎煎到滋滋作響時,釋放出的香氣總是能吸引過往的路人們靠近。

在店家菜單上眾多的菜色中,如魯肉飯、海鮮烏龍麵、虱目魚肚粥等,我一眼就相中了蚵仔煎蓋飯,因為我之前看美食節目時,節目中有介紹過蚵仔煎蓋飯,中部首先創造出這道菜色,它是蚵仔煎加上肉燥飯的組合,店家把完整的蚵仔煎蓋在肉燥飯上,讓顧客可以一次吃到兩種經典小吃,店家表示用鐵湯匙直接從上挖到蓋飯的最底部,讓煎蛋、青菜、醬料加上肉燥飯一起吃,完全沒有違和感,美味且吃得飽。

當蓋飯上桌時,先看到粉漿煎得極其透徹,邊緣呈現誘人的焦糖色與脆感蚵仔煎,我開始期待了,我一陣翻攪,讓蚵仔煎與魯肉飯拌在一起,耶?我一陣錯愕,原來蓋飯用的不是魯肉飯,只是普通的白飯,讓我有點失落,原來不是我所認知,用了魯肉飯的蚵仔煎蓋飯,不過,這種吃法,比單吃蚵仔煎,更有飽足感,整體上,還是好吃,不過假如還有下次的話,我會嚐試店家的其它美味菜色。




On this island, oyster omelets are a famous night market snack and have always had a place in people’s hearts. Whether it’s in a busy night market or an old shop hidden in an alley, you can usually find places selling oyster omelets. The cook pours oysters coated in sweet potato starch batter onto a hot iron griddle. When the batter is half-cooked, they crack an egg on top and add some vegetables to give it more texture. When the omelet starts sizzling, the aroma that comes out can always attract people walking by.

Among all the dishes on the menu, like braised pork rice, seafood udon, and milkfish belly congee, the one that immediately caught my attention was the oyster omelet rice bowl. I had seen it before on a food show. The show said this dish was first created in central Taiwan. It’s basically a combination of an oyster omelet and braised pork rice. The shop puts a whole oyster omelet on top of the rice, so customers can eat two classic Taiwanese foods at the same time. The shop owner said you should use a metal spoon and scoop all the way from the top to the bottom of the bowl, so you can eat the egg, vegetables, sauce, and rice together. It sounds like it should taste really good and also be very filling.

When the rice bowl was served, the first thing I noticed was how well the batter was fried. The edges had an attractive caramelized color and crispy texture. I got really excited. I started mixing everything together so the oyster omelet and rice would blend well. But then… I was a bit shocked. The rice under it wasn’t braised pork rice. It was just plain white rice. I felt a little disappointed. It wasn’t the oyster omelet rice bowl with braised pork rice that I had imagined.

Still, eating it this way was more filling than just eating an oyster omelet alone. Overall, it still tasted good. But if I come back next time, I think I’ll try some of the other tasty dishes on their menu.
