Hey lovelies ❤️
It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍
Welcome to my blog 🤗
First and foremost, you would observe that I posted a dress similar to the one I’m wearing in the attached photographs about a week ago. I stated in that post (CHECK HERE) that I made a two piece with a cotton rib fabrics for a customer and I was going to make two more - for her mother and for myself. I have completed the two other dresses but I decided not to share the process with you all because it is the same process as the latter. The only difference between mine and theirs is that my sleeve is a short sleeve with a button turnup while theirs is a three quarter sleeve. Also, if you read the previous post you’d notice that I highlighted the complaint the mother made about her daughter’s top - she didn’t like the fact that the top wasn’t long enough to cover her posterior which I apologized for and effected the change in her own dress.
Moving forward, I started my day quite early as I went to a customer’s house in the city center. But before that due to the nature of the trip (long) and how stressful it will be I decided to take my boys to a Daycare for the day. I woke up to prepare their lunch boxes and dropped them off before 9am when I set for my trip.
Usually the customer do send her fabrics to me via a dispatch rider services but I had to go pick these sets up myself because she has added weight and I needed to take her new accurate measurements. After the whole session of taking her measurements and selecting styles for each of the fabrics was over I started heading back home but I had a detour at a mall.
I was hungry and I needed something to eat, so I checked the food section to get some snacks and drinks. I bought puff puff and fruit juice to quench my hunger. Then I decided to buy some cereals as well for the kids. We we’re running out of the one at home and it is a must-have in the home because of the kids. I also got bread and some energy drink. I didn’t plan for any serious shopping, I just got some few things that I needed at home. I try as much as possible to avoid impulse buying.
One of the highlights of my time at the mall is that I was star struck when I saw a celebrity just picking few stuffs around the corner with some of his team. His name is KennyBlaq - a renowned comedian who is known for his creativity in using music to make his fans laugh. Sincerely, I was not confident enough to point my camera at him to snap a picture because I feel like it will look awkward. Maybe I was shy though. I rarely bump into celebrities like that so it was a pleasure to see him physically.
Another highlight is the one that almost got me pissed to the extent I wanted to lose my cool but I had to remain calm throughout the scenario. It is about the cashier that I was on his queue for payment of the goods I bought. There were about five people in my front on the queue but it took forever to get to my turn because the staff was as slow as a snail.
I can’t say if he was just recruited and doesn’t know his way around the payment portal or he’s naturally slow. I stood on the queue for more than thirty minutes to pay for the few items I selected. It was so annoying but I comported myself and refused to create a scene.
I finally got to my neighbourhood after about five hours of trip to pick up the kids at the creche before heading back home. I was too stressed out so I couldn’t open the shop today. I just dropped the fabrics I brought along with me in the shop. I'd be sorting them out tomorrow and possibly begin the work.
