Creative Sunday: Quinoa & Red Lentils Porridge🌷

Hello friends! I hope you all are happy, healthy, and enjoying your Sunday. Today, I made Quinoa and Red Lentils Porridge and wanted to share it with you.

Quinoa is truly a superfood — packed with protein, fiber, and all the essential amino acids. It’s gluten-free, easy to digest, and adds a nutty, wholesome flavor to any dish. Iska texture soft hota hai, yet slightly chewy, which makes it perfect for porridge. I tried making it for the first time, and it turned out really good! My whole family loved it, and it was surprisingly tasty. Now, let me tell you the recipe.

𝙸𝚗𝚐𝚛𝚎𝚍𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜

3/4 cup quinoa

1/4 cup red lentils (masoor dal)

2 tbsp ghee

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 onion, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

1 carrot, grated

1/2 capsicum, chopped

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon juice & coriander for garnish


𝚂𝚝𝚎𝚙 𝚋𝚢 𝚂𝚝𝚎𝚙 𝙼𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚍:

🌷Rinse quinoa and red lentils well. And chopped all the veggies.

🌷Heat ghee in a cooker add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle.

🌷Add onions in the oil and fry until golden.


🌷Add all the veggies,tomatoes, turmeric, salt, and pepper. and mix well.


🌷Cook the vegetables until the tomatoes become soft and mashy.


🌷Add quinoa and red lentils and mix well together.


🌷Then pour 4 cups of water. Cook it in a 1 to 4 ratio of quinoa and water.

🌷Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.

🌷Open the lid carefully, mix it once, and add lemon juice and coriander leaves.


🌷Quinoa and Red Lentils Porridge is ready! serve hot with black pepper and chat masala.


🌷This porridge is healthy, filling, and delicious. It’s perfect for a cozy Sunday meals , and it’s a great way to try quinoa for the first time!
