Hello, hello, internet friends! How are you doing? Today I’m going to tell you about a place I love visiting when I’m overwhelmed by work and want to break out of my routine. Stepping through the door transports me to a magical world—literally—since it’s largely inspired by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and I am a huge fan of "The Boy Who Lived" 😃 There are many details from the saga scattered throughout the restaurant, but one of the things I like best is that it’s not your typical eatery; the concept is fascinating because it caters to book lovers. You’ll find a massive bookshelf there stocked with titles of all kinds—from classics to the latest releases—so you can enjoy a good read while savoring your meal, a drink, or a dessert.
¡Hola, Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy les hablaré de un lugar que me encanta visitar cuando estoy saturada del trabajo y quiero salir de la rutina, ya que con tan solo traspasar la puerta me traslada a un mundo mágico "literalmente" ya que en su mayoría está inspirado en el mundo mágico de Harry Potter, y pues yo soy mega fan del Niño que Vivió 😃 Hay muchos detalles de la saga repartidos por todo el restaurante pero una de las cosas que más me agrada es que no es un restaurante como los demás, su concepto es muy interesante porque está dirigido a los amantes de la lectura, pues allí mismo puedes hallar un enorme estante de libros con títulos de toda clase, desde clásicos hasta novedades, para que puedas pasar un buen rato de lectura mientras degustas tu comida, debida o un postre.
Just look at the menu—I love the design because it uses the Harry Potter typeface, but the best part is the content; there are so many food and drink options, including salads, burgers, pizzas, soups, seafood, sandwiches, and even sushi. Many of the dishes are named after famous novels, and they also offer drinks inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter, such as the famous Butterbeer. However, that day I headed straight for the dessert section because I was craving something sweet. There were plenty of choices, such as tarts, cakes, muffins, brownies, and cheesecakes.
Miren nada más el menú, amo el diseño del menú porque tiene la tipografía de Harry Potter pero lo mejor está en el contenido, tiene muchas opciones en bebidas y comidas: ensaladas, hamburguesas, pizzas, sopas, mariscos, sandwiches y hasta sushi, y los nombres de muchos de esos platillos tienen nombres de novelas famosas, también tienen bebidas inspiradas en el mundo mágico de Harry Potter como la famosa cerveza de mantequilla, pero ese día yo me fui directa a la sección de postres porque tenía ganas de degustar algo dulces. Había muchas opciones como tartas, pasteles, muffins, brownies y cheese cakes.
In the end, I decided on a large portion of brownie with ice cream, and it was delicious. I’m a pastry chef, so I pay close attention to detail, and honestly, this was fabulous; the outer layer was crispy (just as it should be), and there was even a pleasant temperature contrast between the ice cream and the slight warmth of the brownie (you could tell it had been warmed up, but not too much). Plus, it wasn't overly sweet—despite the chocolate sauce topping—and was simply exquisite 😍. It was also beautifully presented, so I give it a 10/10.
Al final me decidí por una porción grande de brownie con helado el cuál estaba delicioso. Yo soy chef pastelera así que me fijo mucho en los detalles y la verdad es que este estaba fabuloso, la capa exterior estaba crocante (como debe ser) había incluso un agradable contraste de temperatura entre el helado y el ligero calor del brownie (se nota que lo calentaron aunque no demasiado) además no estaba demasiado dulce, a pesar del topping de salsa de chocolate, estaba simplemente exquisito 😍 y tenía una presentación muy bonita, por lo tanto le doy un 10/10
I’m not exaggerating when I say the entire restaurant is packed with details from the saga; just look, for instance, at the wall covered in decrees issued by one of the fandom's most hated villains, Dolores Umbridge. I also loved the lighting and the Hogwarts acceptance letters "orbiting" above the tables.
Cuando les digo que todo el restaurante está lleno de muchos detalles de la saga no exagero, miren por ejemplo, una pared llena con algunos decretos de una de las villanas más odiadas del Fandom, Dolores Umbridge, también me encantó el detalle de las luces y las cartas de admisión a Hogwarts "orbitando" por encima de las mesas.
They even have a mini Gryffindor common room for all the diners to enjoy; I would love to have a space like that in my own home 😍—with all those Harry Potter decorations, it would be the perfect nest for a devoted Potterhead, haha.
Incluso tienen una mini sala común de Gryffindor para el deleite de todos los comensales, yo amaría tener un espacio así en mi propio hogar 😍, con todas esas decoraciones de Harry Potter, sería el nido perfecto para un devoto Potterhead jaja
There are so many details—not just related to Harry Potter but to British culture in general—so naturally, elements like the iconic red telephone booths and vintage mailboxes had to be included; I even love that they placed an information sign above explaining the evolution of mailboxes. And, of course, the beautiful Big Ben in the background couldn't be left out. I loved that detail; it adds real value to the venue's décor 😍—don't you think?
Hay muchos detalles no solo referentes a Harry Potter sino a la cultura británica en general y por lo tanto no podían faltar cosas como las icónicas cabinas telefónicas rojas o los buzones de correo antiguos, incluso me gusta que arriba pusieron un cartel informativo acerca de la evolución de los buzones de correo, tampoco podía faltar el hermoso Big Ben allá al fondo. Amé se detalle, le da un valor agregado a la decoración del lugar 😍 ¿no lo creen?
