Fresh corn and butterfruit (Dacryodes edulis)

in Plant Power (Vegan)8 days ago (edited)

Hello vegan lovers, am in the village so I am enjoying cooking and eating with the village method.

This morning I decided to have corn and butterfruit for breakfast and it was somcious and delicious.

This meal reminds me of what life was like years ago when we were all living in the village, this was our breakfast sometimes dinner also.

Let's prepare corn and butter fruit,

Step one

I went to the farm to get the corn, I got five good corn, well matured.
Then I removed the cover and placed them in a pot and added water

Step two

I gathered fire wood, set up the fire and placed the corn on the fire, allow it to cook for 30mins because I like my corn very soft.

Step three

After 30 minutes, the corn boiled soft and I used the water to soften the butter fruit, I soaked the butter fruit for 5 minutes because I don't want it to soft.

Finally its ready for consumption ☺️.

Come join me and enjoy my village delicacy, easy to prepare and very healthy.

Always remember to include the list of ingredients in your recipes. This information is very important.
