While the streets of Bacolod were celebrating the Masskara Festival, we were looking for a new venue where we could feast a sumptuous meal which is worth our budget. I think this is becoming our craving every rest day —samgyupsal. After an exhausting week, all we could think about is to replenish the energy taken by those workloads. A savory meal that is affordable is all it takes to help us back to good shape.
So, nevermind the beat of the drums on the streets because food is life!
Rain or shine, we went to Baywalk since they're situated there. I'm not sure if it's a newly open food chain here, but their menu was quite worth the price than anywhere else. We discovered their diner before when we also ate at a Samgyup diner just a door away from them. We visited them initially but found their price out of our budget that day, so we still choose that one where we used to eat.
Though Minerva Samgyupsal is more affordable than them, they only have pork. The Patata isn't in good condition to have intake pork all the way since we're watching out for his hypertension. I can't afford to trade his health just for my cravings.
For only Php 399 per head, they serve a package with chicken, pork, and beef on their main dish. It includes a lot of side dishes —enoki mushroom, cucumber, kimchi, baked small potatoes, sweet radish, sweet onion rings, sauces, etc. The other side dishes weren't available at the time we ate there. But that's okay, a full table of plates per serving could suffice our hunger. Also, their iced tea is unlimited. It's quite worth it for the price, right?
In some other diner, this kind of menu would already cost Php 699 per head.

Before I share the food, I just wanna say a, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to this fella.
That's why we wanted the best because it's his day. I want this le Patata to be happy. Though it's his birthday treat for me, but anyway, he's happy as long as there's food, 'cause we're a foodieee~ 🎂💟
Here comes the food!
As my usual Saturday morning, I couldn't eat my breakfast sometimes since I'm on a rush to go to school. This time I have eaten but a little, therefore, it's not enough and upon serving the meat on our table, it made me starve more.

It's a samgyupsal paradise. You grill it before you can it the meat, but it's unlimited. You grill until you can as long as you wouldn't have any leftovers, or else you have to pay for it. While waiting for the meat to cook, I enjoyed eating the side dishes and paired it with my rice.
The cucumber joined the grill. The le Patata preferred it more with flavors from the samjang sauce and marinated meat.
I just wanna highlight how thoughtful this diner is. They're placing oil absorbing papers on top of the grill. It's purpose is for the meat not to stick with the grilling pan while cooking, avoid overheating the surface of the pan, and for the oil not to splatter coming from the meat. The hot oil hurts, you know.

We have eaten 3 servings here of meat and at least 2 bowls of rice until we gave in. You know when you think you're still hungry and want to eat more but your stomach says otherwise. We can barely breath after we finish our last serving. I had to loosen the adjustable clip on pants for me breath properly.
That place became our new favorite now. Probably, you're gonna see me again posting another blog food blog there. Anyway, craving is satisfied, that's ehat matters everytime. Thank you so much for all the support!
