AssalamuAlaikum & Greetings Everyone!
It's me @amjadsharif
On a summer afternoon, with a sweaty body and intense thirst after finishing work in the fields, I look for a drink that will cool my body down. Foodies Bee Hive friends, I am presenting a traditional village drink, known as Lassi in the local language. This traditional drink is very easy to make. Its simple aroma and taste attract children, old people, and young people to drink a glass of Lassi.
- Yogurt/Curd: Half a kg,
- Sugar: Half a cup,
- Salt: As for taste,
- Water: 2 Glasses, ( Cool Water),
First of all, we need a juicer machine and electricity to make this drink. I have poured the water into the jar of the juicer machine.
Now I will add half a cup of sugar to it and turn on the electric switch of the juicer machine so that the sugar mixes with the water and its sweetness is infused in the water.
After mixing the sugar with the water, I add curd/ yogurt to it and also add salt. I start grinding it again, but here we have to be careful that it is ground very little so that the lassi is prepared well and not that butter is prepared in it because if it is ground too much, butter starts coming out of the curd.
Our Lassi is ready, now it remains to be served. Its taste and white color are unmatched, and the sweetness creates a cooling sensation in the body from the first sip.
This pure village (drink) lassi has its own quality in terms of taste. It gives cooling energy to the body and peace to the heart in summer. A glass of lassi is much better than a cock or Pepsi. It is healthy and beneficial. That's why I like the traditional village drink(Lassi).
