Finally! I got a break in the blues I was experiencing all week. When I awoke and realized it was Thursday, I got excited for two reasons.
One, it meant it was Pimp Your Post Thursday #pypt after @creativeworkhour Co-Working for Hive sessions and I already had my "pimp posts picked" โ say that 10 time fast! ๐
The other reason is that I had pedicure appointment with my fellow musician/ nail tech, Victoria. I adore her. She's goth. She's metal. And she's a Soprano. We talk creativity for the duration of the appointment. We always leave one another inspired.
In the photo above I had just blown Victoria a bye-bye kiss. I'm sporting my rebellious Barbour Saltburn Beanie that I mention in the comments of @artemisnorth.com's awesome post "The Red Hat That Freaked Out the Nazis"
As I was leaving the Salon I saw Allerton's had a special offer for the much sought after Thameen Hair Fragrance I bought the Peacock Throne. I can't wait to dress my tresses in it!
After leaving the salon, I dropped into Mint Velvet, Victoria Gate, Leeds and bought the last Mid-Winter candle to enjoy during my morning bubble bath.
Afterward, I crossed the Vicar Lane and chanced getting a table at The Ivy, Leeds Wishful thinking on my party. There was a two hour wait. I started to leave, but then I was offered a seat at the bar. I'd never sat there, but I thought, "why not?"
I lucked into the specified hours for 19.17 pounds sterling for 2 courses! Here is my starter:
Tamarind Beetroot & Endive Salad
Red chicory, plant-based cream, kihlrabi, cranberries, candied pecans with an apple cedar dressing.
Here is my main course:
Scottish smoked haddock and salmon fish cake
Poached free range hen egg with a crushed pea and herb sauce
Yes, every bite was as good as it looks!!
