Saru pitha is a traditional, simple and delicious pitha. Grandma's thin pitha in the soft sun of a winter morning is like the sweetest memory of our childhood. So you can make this delicious pitha by following this easy recipe at home.
These ingredients are used to make Saru pitha.
Atap rice powder – 2 cups
- Water – as much as needed
- Salt – a pinch
- Coconut rind – 1 cup
- Jaggery/Sugar
For cooking, first take a pot and place it on the gram flour and heat it lightly or add enough water and light salt and heat it for a while, as a result of which the water becomes suitable for heating. Only then can you add sugar, raisins, lentils, cloves and sugar as per your taste.
Saru pitha is best eaten hot. It can be served breakfast with tea. If you want, you can eat it with a little ghee enhance the taste.
You can also use date jaggery, coconut khoya, or dried milk in place of coconut and jaggery. Those who want to eat less sweets can also make it with just coconut.
In winter, this pitha is prepared in every house in Bangladesh and when guests come, it is presented in front of them, but they serve it one by one, you can present it according to your wish.
