Today, I visited Craf Roasters BBQ to have dinner with my friends since one of us going to be married soon. We decided to come here to have a bachelor night.

The space here feels more like a modern café at first glance — open, airy, and effortlessly cool. Exposed piping runs across the ceiling, warm lights hang overhead, and stacks of firewood sit neatly beneath planters, hinting at what’s really going on behind the scenes. It’s casual, social, and just the kind of place where you settle in for a long, slow meal with friends.

After looking at the menu, we ordered their set A that cost RM150 per set.

Set A is a proper meat-lover’s platter that leans heavily into Texas-style barbecue, but with a Malaysian-friendly touch.

Front and centre is the smoked beef brisket, sliced thick with a dark bark and visible smoke ring. It’s slow-smoked for hours, which gives it that tender, pull-apart texture and deep woody aroma — the kind of flavour that lingers after every bite.

Next to it, the pulled lamb is softer and slightly more gamey, shredded into juicy strands that carry both the smokiness and natural richness of the meat. The beef meatloaf adds a different dimension — less smoky, more savoury and saucy — almost like a comfort-food anchor to balance the platter.

On the sides, we have roasted potatoes, Coleslaw, Pickles and Buttermilk cornbread muffins.

Overall, it’s a well-structured platter — heavy, hearty, and clearly designed for sharing. We ordered some pasta and fried rice, and had a great time talking and hanging out.
