Magandang buhay💛
Coming from BC, and attending Easter mass at the local parish church, we went for a mid-morning snack some 4 kilometers away. As it is a Sunday, most establishments are closed. Thankfully, Nainer's (a small Cafe) was open. There were not many choices except for pizza and tea or brewed coffee. It was a long holiday (Holy Week), so they were probably not ready to serve more, but it was okay, since we just needed a light fill before driving home to DD.
I left the ordering to the hubby, who opted for the Ube Delight Pizza.

We didn't expect much, but we were quite surprised because every bite delighted the taste buds. Sweet (ube) and cheesy. Even the LilGuy enjoyed a slice.
Well, they first served our coffee with a bit of creamer. It had been a long while since we last had one (we loved black coffee, but due to my digestive issues, we were forced to shy away from it until today).
So yeah, I enjoyed my cup and finished the whole thing. I missed it, to be honest.

I felt heartburn and palpitations on the way home (until now), though. What a price to pay for giving in to cravings. No one else to blame, the fault is with me. Well, there was tea, but it's also harsh to the stomach, so we went for what we thought was the lesser evil, LOL!
Anyway, here was our little boy quietly slumped in his chair, as we waited for our order. Surprisingly, he didn't do the sniffing thing.

We stayed a little longer, even after we finished the pizza. It felt like we needed the break to catch up, since we have been apart since Wednesday, when the hubby left us in BC and visited the Lil Kingdom before coming home to DD. Well, we talked on the phone every day, but a face-to-face conversation is still the best.
Grateful much for such simple moments.
