So it's finally Christmas Eve and my kitchen is so chaotic at the moment. I am just taking a few minutes to sit down and rest and while doing that I decided I will write this post. I tried my best to prep early with the kids but u know how it goes when u are in a rush and trying to make everything look good and taste better. I'm looking at what I've done so far and I have so many thoughts about it.

First is the chicken, I think I put too much lemongrass in there, it's poking out and the pot is almost too small for it. Then the bistek,

I was trying to make the onion rings look nice but they came out way too thick and uneven. My hands won't lie about the soreness affecting my chopping skills. Look at the mangoes and cucumbers for the salad, the pieces are not even at all, some are huge and some are tiny. It looks more like a "bahala na" salad than a professional one.

We are also grilling some liempo outside because what is a Filipino Christmas without it? The smoke is everywhere and I'm pretty sure my hair smells like it too. I'm not so proud of how I handled the heat, I think these will take a few more minutes until done

Proportions are off with the amount of food too, I think we have enough to feed the whole clan hahaha. I just hope it taste good even if it don't look perfect enough. Happy holidays everyone, hope your prep is less chaotic than mine

oh I almost forgot about the pinoy spaghetti it is sweet because of the banana ketchup it has ground pork and hotdog. This is a crowd favorite and definitely Filipino style. I gtg now back to my kitchen to finish the rest
