Ancient Roman site - watercolors on paper
Hello everyone, dear Hivers friends, and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a large-format watercolor painting that was inspired by a visit to an ancient Roman temple dating back to the 2nd century BC. In my next post, I will share all the photographs of this magical place. Back to my watercolor painting, I depicted a large supporting vault typical of majestic temples or other Roman buildings, where the construction technique is exalted to the extreme.

So, from my photograph, I represented an ancient corner but, of course, I changed some details. I wanted to include a living symbol of the passage of time, plants and vines that show all their resilience, just like these beautiful monuments.

Antico luogo romano - acquarelli su carta
Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un dipinto ad acquarello di grande formato che mi è stato ispirato da una visita ad un antico tempio romano del 2 secolo a,C. Nel prossimo post condividerò tutte le fotografie del luogo magico. Torniamo al mio acquarello, ho raffigurato una grande volta sostruttiva tipica dei maestosi templi o altri edifici dei romani, dove la tecnica costruttiva si esalta all'inverosimile. Così, dalla mia fotografia ho rappresentato un angolo antico ma chiaramento, l'ho cambiato in alcuni particolari. Ho voluto inseire il simbolo vivo del trascorrere del tempo, piante e rampicanti che mostrano tutta la loro resilienza come d'altronde questi bellissimi monumenti.
