I recently went to the market and the vegetable seller gave me some sweet potatoes. Here in Venezuela, they are also known as chaco. What are they called in your country?

They are a sweet-tasting tuber that I love. I know of two varieties: one white and one orange. The latter, in my opinion, is sweeter. Sweet potatoes are often used in soups, sweets, desserts, and fried dishes, but rarely in smoothies or juices. That's why today I'm bringing you a smoothie made with just two ingredients: sweet potato and beetroot. Two ingredients, two steps.

Ingredients: 1 sweet potato and 1 beetroot, previously cooked. Water is essential, and the degree of sweetness will depend on what you use to sweeten it.

Procedure: Remove the skin from the sweet potato and beet. Blend with water and sugar to taste.

The flavor is a little earthy from the beet and floury from the sweet potato, but not unpleasant. This mixture can be processed with milk and flavored to taste or mixed with oats. The consistency depends on individual taste. This smoothie contains a significant amount of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to health, such as magnesium, vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, and calcium, which strengthen the immune system.

Other benefits include fiber, which promotes intestinal health, and its ability to add energy to the daily diet, as both foods are healthy. In addition, they are used in a wide variety of dishes. With every smoothie I make, I seek to improve muscle performance and recovery to prevent fatigue, so this recipe is an important ally in that regard.

¡Feliz día para todos! Espero que estén teniendo un día estupendo. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una receta especial: un batido con solo dos ingredientes básicos.
Hace poco fui al mercado y el señor de las verduras me regaló unas batatas. Aquí en Venezuela también se le conoce como chaco. ¿Cómo le llaman en tu país?
Es un tubérculo de sabor dulce que me encanta. Conozco dos variedades: una blanca y otra naranja. Esta última, en mi opinión, es más dulce. La batata se usa mucho en sancochos (sopas), en dulces o postres y frita, pero poco en batidos o jugos. Por eso hoy les traigo un batido combinado con solo dos ingredientes: batata y remolacha. Dos ingredientes, dos pasos.

Batido de batata y remolacha

Ingredientes: 1 batata y 1 remolacha previamente cocidas. El agua es esencial y el grado de dulzor dependerá de lo que uses para endulzar.
Procedimiento: quitar la piel de la batata y de la remolacha. Licúa con agua y azúcar al gusto.
El sabor es un poco terroso por la remolacha y harinoso por la batata, pero no resultan desagradables. Esta preparación puede procesarse con leche y agregarle esencias al gusto o mezclarse con avena. La consistencia depende del gusto de cada uno. Este batido contiene una carga importante de vitaminas y minerales beneficiosos para la salud, como el magnesio, la vitamina C, el potasio, el ácido fólico y el calcio, que refuerzan el sistema inmunitario.
Otros de los beneficios es el aporte de fibra, que beneficia la salud intestinal, y su capacidad para aportar energía a la dieta diaria, ya que ambos alimentos son saludables. Además, se usan en una gran variedad de platos. Con cada batido que preparo, busco mejorar el rendimiento y la recuperación muscular para prevenir la sensación de fatiga, por lo que esta preparación es un aliado importante para ello.
