Taste of Home (and Taiwan)! Sharing my Cooking Journey!

in Hive PH10 days ago

Hi Hive family!

First, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all of you who keep supporting my Hive blog here and to some of you who even have subscribed to my YouTube channel. I am so grateful to be a part of this community!

For today's post, I want to share some of the food I usually prepare for my employers. They absolutely love the taste of my dishes, and I always make it healthy. When I started working for them many years ago I noticed that they never use flavour enhancers like for example "Magic Sarap", just salt and soy sauce. And over time I have adapted this healthy habit into my own cooking. Also when making food for myself I prefer to use just natural and simple ingredients instead of processed food full of artificial flavours, colorants, preservatives and added sugar.

Today I show you some pictures of the food which were taken about two years ago. Since these days, most of the time I have been living alone in my employer's house (they spend much time in their second residence in the USA), which means usually I prepare Filipino dishes for myself. The food in these pictures, however, is mostly Taiwanese-style (as a part of my employer's family is from Taiwan).

Please enjoy the pictures for now! One day soon I will make these dishes again and film them to share with all the food lovers out there like me.

I am getting hungry just looking at them! Thank you for your kind support, everyone! God bless you all!

They don't use those pampalasa coz they prefer using herbs and different spices no? I wish I knew what the right spices to use para maiwasan na din yang mga pampalasa na yaan ay. UwU

and goodness ang sasarap ng foods na hinahain mo sa kanila. Kakagutom!

Mostly, I used star anise here, but it depends on the dish which spice I choose. Taiwanese people love food that's a bit sweet. And I used star anise to add a little flavor. I am also a fan of garlic... It just depends on the kind of food.

I am happy to read that you like these dishes! 😊

Oh yeah, that, I saw that in some vlog, mostly chinese vlogs sta yon using that and the others. I think diko pa ko nakakatikim ng food na may star anise.

Those dishes look delicious, love how you keep it healthy and simple.

Yes, natural is best, hehe!
