Here's my entry for BeerSaturday 412 with a beer offered by a friend after he returned from a trip to Japan for the World Expo in Osaka. This is World Kanpai Beer, a project by Suntory to create a beer by collecting feedback from everyone on what tastes good.

Suntory is one of Japan's oldest alcoholic beverage companies, established in 1899 to produce beer and whisky. For the World Expo currently taking place in Osaka, Suntory has launched a project to create a beer by collecting what beer lovers prefer in their favorite beverage: Pakkan Project. There are a few questions to answer to get a result. An interesting marketing operation.

Suntory est l'une des plus anciennes entreprises de boissons alcoolisées au Japon, créée en 1899 qui produit des bières et du whisky. Pour l'exposition universelle qui se déroule en ce moment à Osaka, Suntory a lancé un projet pour créer une bière en recueillant ce que préfère les amateurs de bières dans leur boisson favorite : Pakkan Project. 🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :

World Kanpai Beer is a rather basic lager, but that's the aim of the project: to allow everyone to take the survey with this beer (to take the survey yourself, please share your results in the comments, it would be interesting to see how “HIVEs” like their beer). In the glass, we see a beautiful clear blond color topped by a thick white collar. As this is a Japanese lager, this beer is more concerned with drinkability and freshness than with a complex aromatic profile. But I think that after a day wandering between the various pavilions of the World's Fair, this must be the perfect beer 😀.

World Kanpai Beer est une lager plutôt de base mais c'est l'objectif du projet : permettre à chacun de répondre au sondage grâce à cette bière (pour y répondre vous aussi, n'hésitez pas à partager vos résultats en commentaire, cela serait intéressant de voir comment les "HIVE" aiment leur bière). Dans le verre, on a belle robe blonde limpide surmontée d'un épais col blanc. Comme il s'agit d'une lager japonaise, cette bière est plus portée sur la buvabilité et la fraîcheur que sur un profil aromatique complexe. Mais je pense qu'après une journée à se balader entre les différents pavillons de l'Exposition Universelle, cela doit être la bière parfaite 😀.

Design

Design-wise, it's really not my style, a bit too much writing (plus incomprehensible, my Japanese is very limited). But I think the can is trying to explain the marketing concept. A good move for Suntory, using the Universal Expo to create buzz around the Japanese brand. Well done...

Niveau design, ce n'est vraiment pas mon style, un peu trop d'écriture (en plus incompréhensible, mon japonais est très limité). Mais je pense que la canette essaye d'expliquer le concept marketing. Un bon coup pour Suntory, se servir de l'Expo Universelle pour créer du buzz autour de la marque japonaise. Bien joué...
