Yipeeee! It’s Throwback Thursday guys! And yes, it’s that time of the week when you get to share some beautiful memories with the Throwback Thursday community, reminiscing and reflecting on these experiences that left you happy.
Today I met up with my friend and I couldn’t help but reminisce on all the good times and memories we’ve shared together.
I remembered her cooking journey and I couldn’t be more proud of her.
Last year we both attended an event together where she was a vendor, and I was her assistant and photographer, hehehehe.
It was such a wonderful experience for me. Prior to that time, I had never sold anything in my life before but there I was selling snacks and drinks to people. It was so nice to sell at the event and to also advertise my friend’s brand to people.
Watching as how people ate our small chops in delight and returning to buy more was both exciting and satisfying.
One minute we were preparing all the items at home and the next minute we were at the event and killing it.
I remember the event just like yesterday. I kept praying for us to sell everything as my friend was worried sick. She was worried that we were going to return home with some leftovers.
It wasn’t easy to sell everything but we did and I couldn’t contain my joy. The smile on my friend’s face was priceless too.
While selling, we had several incidents of failed transactions from customers which resulted in delayed credit alerts, but we were glad it was all sorted out before the end of the event.
Some of our friends showed up to support us and it was a full house. They all bought our small chops and yoghurt too. It was so nice to have them around.
My friend Jojo killed it at the event and I was so proud of her. For a first timer, she exceeded my expectations, and I was glad that all her effort and time paid off. It wasn’t easy putting everything together but seeing the result was enough for us.
We handed out her card to some customers who patronized us and luckily for her, she got some gigs from that event.
To my friend Jojo, it wasn’t just selling at the event, it was living her dreams and I was glad to be part of this dream of hers.
After having a beautiful experience and success at that event, my friend has had the opportunity to go to other events as a vendor and every one of them was a huge success.
Her brand is growing and she is gradually getting the visibility that she wants and deserves.
This event was a memorable experience for me and it feels so good to share it here😃
