When Little Ryzen Didn’t Feel Well

in Daily Blogyesterday

There is nothing quite like the worry that creeps in when your child suddenly feels unwell. That was exactly how my night went recently.

It started early, before the sun even began to rise. =_=

‎Around 3:00 in the morning... I felt Ryzen’s forehead and it was warmer than usual.

‎Right away, I grabbed the thermometer to check. And it was 39°C.

‎I felt worried immediately, but because I didn’t want to disturb him too much, I just made him comfortable, and let him rest while I kept watch beside him.

‎When morning came, I asked what fruit he felt like eating, and he said grapes. So I called my hubby and asked him to buy fresh grapes, plus Biogesic for Kids to help bring down the fever.

‎And since he was sick, he could not go to school. So I messaged Teacher Irma in our class group chat to let her know Ryzen would be absent.

‎Then Teacher Irma replied that today was the first day of their school feeding program... It is an initiative from the DSWD to help fight malnutrition and keep daycare children healthy and strong.

‎So even though Ryzen couldn’t attend, she said we could still go and pick up his share. \0/

‎I told it to my hubby, and a little while later he came home with a nourishing soup that is still steaming hot.

‎I felt so grateful coz this is exactly what a sick child needs, not just medicine.

‎Right now, Ryzen’s fever has gone down a little, though he still has sore eyes. He’s resting well, eating small portions, and drinking lots of water.

‎He is slowly recovering.

‎Well, it’s never easy when our little ones get sick. But hoping Ryzen fully recovers soon and gets back to his playful self in no time.

‎Sickness is part of growing up, but you can't control your emotions not to worry.

‎Thank you for reading and for your well wishes... it means so much to us as we care for our little one. ❤️

‎Until my next family moments...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
