Feliz noche amigos de Daily Blog hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un poco de mi día y es que uno de mis sobrinos estuvo de cumpleaños y al yo ser la tía repostera me tocó hacer de todo un poco. Y también debíamos llevar a mi mamá para hacerse sus exámenes de sangre para saber en cuanto tiene la hemoglobina.
Happy evening, Daily Blog friends. Today I want to share a little bit of my day with you. One of my nephews had a birthday, and since I'm the baking aunt, I had to do a little bit of everything. We also had to take my mom to get her blood tested to determine her hemoglobin level.
Comencé por ir al centro de la isla a comprar todos los ingredientes que necesitaba para hacer las tortas, unos cupcakes y suspiros. Estuve caminado por varias tiendas de repostería para encontrar los capacillos que necesitaba para los cupcakes y es que estos capacillos eran de un color azul metalizado.
I started by going to the center of the island to buy all the ingredients I needed to make the cakes, some cupcakes, and some biscuits. I walked around several baking stores to find the cupcake liners I needed, and these liners happened to be metallic blue.
Me tocó hacer dos tandas de mezcla para tortas y es que casa piso de las tortas lo hago con dos tortas y también debía sacar 24 cupcakes. A la mezcla de las tortas le agregué gotas de chocolate, todo esto lo hice en la noche para que las tortas estuvieran frías a la hora de armarlas.
I had to make two batches of cake mix, since each cake mix is made with two cakes, and I also had to make 24 cupcakes. I added chocolate sprinkles to the cake mix. I did all of this overnight so the cakes would be cool when I assembled them.
Al otro día nos levantamos bien temprano para llevar a mi mama al laboratorio y es que ella ha estado bastante delicada de salud. Y algo que debemos cuidar mucho son sus niveles de hemoglobina ya que si baja mucho, es muy peligroso. Está semana que viene debemos volver al médico pues hay que hacerle un examen en su corazón para saber si mejoro la arritmia cardíaca y saber si se le puede hacer la colonoscopia y gastrocopia.
The next day we got up early to take my mom to the lab, as she's been in very poor health. Something we need to be very careful with is her hemoglobin levels, because if they drop too low, it's very dangerous. We have to go back to the doctor next week because they need to do a heart exam to see if her cardiac arrhythmia has improved and to see if she can undergo a colonoscopy and gastroscopy.
Luego de que le hicimos los exámenes a mi mamá, fuimos en busca de los toppers de la torta y los cupcakes.
After we ran the tests on my mom, we went looking for the cake and cupcake toppers.
Cada torta iba rellena de arequipe, colocamos los soportes para que la torta no se dañe. Luego de esto preparamos mucho merengue italiano y comenzamos a decorar la torta. Lo bueno es que está torta era blanca y solo con un poco de azul.
Each cake was filled with arequipe, we placed the stands so that the cake would not be damaged. After this, we made a lot of Italian meringue and began decorating the cake. The great thing is that this cake was white with just a hint of blue.
Y este fue el resultado final. Una torta de aproximadamente 5 kilogramos, los toppers quedaron muy bien y a mí sobrino le encantó la torta.
And this was the final result. A cake weighing approximately 5 kilograms, the toppers turned out beautifully, and my nephew loved it.
Rápidamente prepare la mezcla para hacer los suspiros y en esta oportunidad los hice con paletas y así era más fácil para dárselo a los niños y los cupcakes también fueron bastante faciles de decorar eran con merengue italiano blanco y el Topper. Este día termine muy cansada con todo lo que hice pero ver a mi sobrino feliz con su cumpleaños me hizo feliz.
I quickly prepared the batter for the cupcakes, and this time I made them with popsicle sticks, making them easier to give to the kids. The cupcakes were also fairly easy to decorate with white Italian meringue and the topper. I was exhausted from all the work I did, but seeing my nephew happy on his birthday made me happy.
