Chicken with onions in creamy sauce [ ENG - ESP ]

I've always had trouble cooking chicken breasts because I often overcook them and they end up tough. So today I decided to try a different method. I remembered a recipe I saw online and it inspired me. With the ingredients on hand—and there are very few—I set about making this chicken breast, and it was worth it. It didn't take long, it's delicious, and as I mentioned, it only requires a few ingredients.

  • Siempre he tenido problemas para cocinar las pechugas de pollo, porque a veces las suelo cocinar más de la cuenta y me quedan como tiesas, por eso hoy decidí hacerlas de otra manera, me acordé de una receta que vi en internet y dicha receta me inspiro, teniendo los ingredientes a la mano, que por cierto son muy pocos los que vamos a usar, me dispuse a hacer esta pechuga y valió la pena, no me quitó mucho tiempo en hacerla, queda muy rica y como ya les mencioné, lleva muy pocos ingredientes.

Ingredients:

-1 large boneless chicken breast
-1 large white onion
-2 tablespoons butter
-2 tablespoons olive oil or any vegetable oil
-1 cup chicken broth
-4 tablespoons heavy cream or cream cheese
-Salt and pepper to taste

We begin by slicing the onion into julienne strips.

Then in a frying pan over medium heat, add the two tablespoons of oil and the two tablespoons of butter, add the onion and cook over low heat until it is almost caramelized. It is very important to do this step over low heat so that the onion does not burn.

  • Luego en una sartén a fuego medio, echamos las dos cucharadas de aceite y las dos cucharadas de mantequilla, echamos la cebolla y la cocinamos a fuego bajo hasta que prácticamente se caramelicen, es muy importante hacer este paso con la cocina a fuego bajo para que la cebolla no se queme.

When the onion turned brown, we added the chicken breast. I chopped it into three pieces; it was a large breast. When we added the chicken breast, we cooked it over medium heat, adding salt and pepper to taste, and browned the breasts on both sides for about 1 minute.

  • Al ver la cebolla que esta con un color marrón, le incorporamos la pechuga, yo la pique en tres partes, era una pechuga grande, en el momento de colocar la pechuga, cocinamos a fuego medio, le agregamos sal al gusto, pimienta y doramos las pechugas por ambos lados, lado y lado aproximadamente 1 minuto.

Now add the chicken broth, cover and let it cook for 20 minutes over medium heat.

After 20 minutes, add the cream (you can use cream cheese or yogurt), mix well with a spoon, let it cook for a couple more minutes, and that's it! The chicken is ready to serve 😋

  • Pasado los 20 minutos, le vamos a añadir la crema de leche, puedes usar queso crema o Yogurt, integras bien con la cuchara, dejas cocinar un par de minutos más y eso es todo, el pollo está listo para servir 😋

To serve, I first sliced ​​the chicken breast and served it with broccoli. This side dish goes wonderfully with it and makes our lunch or dinner very healthy. All that's left to say is, enjoy! 👌
