Hmm at the risk of sounding unfriendly/unpleasant, I am afraid that the harsh reality is that voting is something you have no control of, and hence, it might be too unhealthy to set expectations that you should be getting x amount because it can easily lead to disappointment.

Every post starts from zero and personally, I almost never have any expectations what I will be getting. A good amount of my posts are just 1 or 2 dollars and that doesn't bother me because writing is a hobby of mine and this is not a job.

The voting is sometimes "unfair" and "surprising" at the same time. Even for myself, I have posts that I put in a lot of effort to research and write and didn't get much votes, but on the other hand, there are posts which I didn't require that much effort but a good amount of votes came in.

Finally, it just struck me to ask whether I should be upvoting your posts because you are downvoting at the same time. If I am "sabotaging" you in any way, I can stop the upvoting too.
