Quinoa is truly a superfood โ packed with protein, fiber, and all the essential amino acids. Itโs gluten-free, easy to digest, and adds a nutty, wholesome flavor to any dish. Iska texture soft hota hai, yet slightly chewy, which makes it perfect for porridge. I tried making it for the first time, and it turned out really good! My whole family loved it, and it was surprisingly tasty. Now, let me tell you the recipe.

3/4 cup quinoa
1/4 cup red lentils (masoor dal)
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1 carrot, grated
1/2 capsicum, chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice & coriander for garnish

๐ทRinse quinoa and red lentils well. And chopped all the veggies.
๐ทHeat ghee in a cooker add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle.

๐ทAdd onions in the oil and fry until golden.

๐ทAdd all the veggies,tomatoes, turmeric, salt, and pepper. and mix well.



๐ทCook the vegetables until the tomatoes become soft and mashy.

๐ทAdd quinoa and red lentils and mix well together.



๐ทThen pour 4 cups of water. Cook it in a 1 to 4 ratio of quinoa and water.


๐ทClose the lid and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.

๐ทOpen the lid carefully, mix it once, and add lemon juice and coriander leaves.


๐ทQuinoa and Red Lentils Porridge is ready! serve hot with black pepper and chat masala.
