It was nice and sunny this morning, so after posting a few Christmas cards, I found myself in the local pub! Obviously, it was for a good cup of coffee and a bite to eat after a nice walk around the village.

My friend opted for a latte. I liked the eco-friendly 'home compostable' napkins that are designed to break down in a home compost.

I had a black americano. I'm not sure if the coffee had been put in an extra large cup, but I did wonder where the rest of the coffee was?

The pooch had a few dog biscuits for being a good girl.

We settled on chips and peas and chips and gravy. I think the waitress was slightly miffed we weren't having anything more expensive, judging with the disappointed look on her face. Even though it is a nice, friendly, pub the food is a little bit more expensive than I would have liked. The coffee was good, though.

I do love this time of year, when all the businesses have got their Christmas decorations up. It looks very cosy and festive. In my younger days, I knew a pub that had Christmas decorations up, in July. It used to draw the punters in so it was a good business idea.

Unfortunately, the crackers were for a group booking, so no cracker pulling was involved in this blog. Pfft ... 😏
