Coffee and Books

Coffee and books are the perfect combination to take a break from a stressful mind!

There are many ways to reduce stress, right? I think everyone has a different approach. For me, coffee or herbal tea is great

That afternoon, I was on the road in the city center. But because it was entering the rainy season, I immediately looked for the nearest coffee shop to stop at so I wouldn't get caught in the rain, as I was riding my motorcycle at the time.

Often, great places aren't discovered by planning. But by chance, like what happened to me.

I stopped at a small shophouse. I thought it was just a small, ordinary place. But it turned out to be a long, back-to-back building, though not a wide, side-to-side building.

Guess what?! I found lots of bookshelves! I was really excited. While waiting for my coffee, I browsed the bookshelves.

The book collection there was good. It suited my tastes, both fiction and poetry. I picked up a fiction book, with an interesting cover full of hidden meaning. 😊o

Well, I also like the simple design of old books as chic and beautiful wall art. ❤️

My coffee order arrived. I ordered a hot mocha. With a sweet banana cake added.

IMG_1990.jpeg

A strong hot mocha, slightly sweet as I requested, but still balanced with the bitterness.

With latte art on top. Just perfect. The surrounding atmosphere was very supportive. I listened to the relaxing sound of the rain, like I was listening to a calming playlist, only this time the universe was playing it directly for me.

As for the snacks, I only ate one 🤣 I took the rest home because they were quite sweet. Ehehe

Well, at the end of the coffee shop, there was a space without chairs for groups or groups of friends.

This coffee shop provides games for customers to play. So, very interesting!

I'll be visiting this place again. It's not just about the delicious coffee. They also have an awesome reading list! Worth a visit 😊

What a lovely concept! In the U.S. bookstores turned into coffee shops some years ago--kind of a reverse evolution :) I used to take my kids to the bookstore for an outing when they were very young. Slowly, I found my quiet bookstore had become quite busy with other merchandise offered for sale, and then with a coffee shop attached. The bookstore was attracting people who hadn't come to read, especially. They had come to socialize. It's a great concept, but my quiet bookstore disappeared. After that, I didn't take the kids there so much. We would to the neighborhood pond (my kids called it the dirty lake because it was quite muddy in places). For my own quiet retreat, without the kids, I'd go to the library.

Also, a question: When did they start putting designs on top of coffee? I know it's chic, but I can't adjust :))) It feels like I'm drinking desert instead of coffee.

Hello dear friend @anggreklestari

What a great place you've discovered! I loved the juice bar and the reading area.

What a wonderful way to relax! Reading a book while enjoying a coffee is simply marvelous.

I have no doubt you'll return; it looks so warm and peaceful.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful experience.

Hey my friend
I hope you have a great day

Oh, what a marvellous place. Its atmosphere truly enchanted me. I could easily linger there for hours, reading and sharing games with friends… lucky you didn’t scoff all the sweets yourself, that much sugar’s risky. 😅

🎉🎉🥳 Congratulations 🥳🎊🎊

Hey Anggrek!
Your post is relaxing just from looking at the photos. I love the concept, and what caught my eye were the book wall book displays. That's creative and aesthetically appealing.
It's lovely to see you, as always!

Coffee + book are a perfect combination. Drinking a coffee at a calm place causes exactly that relaxing atmosphere one needs to be focused on reading (or also writing) without feeling distracted.

It's so nice that you accidentally found a beautiful place where you could read while enjoying your coffee! 😊
