Instant noodles are a staple ingredient that many households always keep in their kitchens. I think they're really convenient, perfect for a quick meal or when you're tired. Plus, You can use them to make a wide variety of dishes.
Today, I used dried noodles to prepare a simple lunch. I stir-fried them with shrimp and seasoned them with black pepper sauce. It turned into a special meal that didn't take long to prepare, was just for me, and used easy-to-find ingredients. It's a dish anyone can make

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 150 grams of fresh shrimp
- 100 grams of dried egg noodles
- 5-6 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
Black Pepper Sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of dark soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of water

Instructions
Prepare the garlic: Peel the cloves, wash them thoroughly, pat them dry, and slice them into thin pieces.
Black pepper: I used black peppercorns. Using freshly ground black peppercorns versus pre-ground powder yields distinctly different results, which directly impact the flavor and aroma of the dish. Freshly ground peppercorns have a more fragrant aroma and provide a sharper, spicier taste.

Prepare the Shrimp: . Wash the shrimp thoroughly, remove the heads, devein them, and wash them clean once more. Sprinkle a little salt and ground black pepper over them, mix well to combine. I let this marinate for about 10 minutes.

Prepare the Noodles: Cook the noodles by bringing water to a boil. Add about 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, then add the dried noodles and boil until cooked. Rinse under cold water and set aside to drain.

Make the Black Pepper Sauce: In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of dark soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir well and set aside.

Stir-fry: Place a pan over low heat. Add a small amount of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.

Cook Shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp and stir-fry just until they change color.

Combine: Add the cooked and drained noodles to the pan, followed by the prepared sauce. Toss and stir-fry until everything is well combined.

Final Touch: Add 1/2 teaspoon of paprika powder.

And stir-fry once more until evenly distributed.

Serve:
Dish out onto a plate, ready to be served hot. I sprinkle additional ground black pepper and paprika powder on top.

This plate of Stir-Fried Noodles with Shrimp in Black Pepper Sauce is not only visually appealing but also impressively complex and well-balanced in flavor.

The primary flavor profile features a savory richness from the sauces combined with a gentle spicy heat, complemented by the aromatic fragrance of garlic and chili.

The noodles, boiled to perfection, are tender, chewy, and excellent at absorbing the sauce.

The fresh shrimp, stir-fried just until cooked, are firm and succulent. The sauce has an ideal consistency, evenly coating the noodles and shrimp, ensuring every bite is packed with complete flavor.
