Good day hivers! How are you today? It's me Krissy bringing you another food recipe. This is a very simple one but for me this is the most memorable one. I can remember when I was young this became my favorite food because so far this is the best food my parents can afford that time and this will always be present during our birthdays and recognition days.
Today I knew a lot of types of noodles but when I was young, I only knew four kinds. First the miswa which is the cheapest and tiniest, then the Miki, there is fresh and dried but we often buy the dried one because we don't have refrigerator at that time and fresh Miki only last up to 12-20 hours, then the bihon this one I featured here which is a little bit pricey and we can only buy this kind of noodle if there's a special occasion and lastly the sotanghon or the glass noodle which is very expensive and as far as I remember the first time I bought a glass noodle is when I was 12 years old. It was a reward from my teacher for winning the journalism certificates. I also knew the instant noodles but my parents didn't allow us to buy that because they said it's not nutritious.
Well anyway that was a very long story hahaha. Let's start cooking! I just prepared the spices needed. It's very basic, onion, garlic, onion leaves, calamansi and also pepper.
Then the best part of this recipe is there is pork. When I was young bihon is always partnered to sardines in can or the tuna in can. The meat should be sliced into tiny cubes so it's easy for it to cook and it will not take a long time to boil for it.
I started it by frying the onion and garlic until it's golden brown. Add the pork cubes and some water to boil and to sip by the noodle later so it's more volume added. I add tiny bit of sugar, soy sauce, salt, msg and pepper.
After 5 minutes the meat is tender so I added the the noodles on it. Divide it into 4 parts so it's easy to stir and eat later.
Then after sever times of mixing and the eater is dry and also the noodles is soft. I added the opinion leaves and a final stir and serve it hot.
And this is the final look. It's quite oily because the pork is fatty and before I fried the spices I added lots of oil. I'm sorry for my face it got a make-up. Hahaha I forgot to turn it to normal in the portrait mode and only realizing it has a make up when I checked it after eating. But I had a wonderful meal. It took me back to my younger years where I can only ate 2-3 spoons of it because we are budgeting and we have to divide our one viand for the three meals a day. But today I can eat as many as I can❤
