My pursuit of these unique and cheap Vinfast cars continues and I found some pretty cool ones in the past few days. These ones have got a lot of decal action going on with them.
While this one doesn't have too many after-market accessories outside of the very useful roof-rack, it is a different color than you usually see. This is the only dark green one I have ever seen and I think, but am not sure, that they may have had to have gotten a custom paint job in order to make that happen. When I go to the Vinfast website they do not feature a dark green one at all so that suggests to me that it is not commercially available. Who knows? Well whatever, it is the only one I have seen like that and I like it.
This one might be promotional for some sort of travel business of some kind. I couldn't tell just by looking at it. The English on the front fender doesn't really make sense but I get what they mean.
I have seen these decals being installed at a local shop and the process is actually quite time-consuming. It must be affordable because it has become a bit of a trend for the owners of this car to kit them out and personalize them like this.
This one I think is some sort of promotional vehicle that Vinfast may own. I can't think of any good reason why anyone who owns one would be advertising for them and this reminds me of a time I was in college and I bought a car from a lot. When I got the car the dealership installed a decal on the back of the car that was an advertisement for their shop. They did this after I bought the car and I was livid. I refused to leave until they removed the decal from the car. I paid for the car... you don't get to advertise on it for free.
There are a lot of Russian tourists as well as permanent members of the expat community that are Russian here. Therefore the stores stock these products that I don't have any idea what it is. Thankfully I have a couple of Russian friends and they told me this is Russian meatloaf that you cut up and serve with bread and maybe cheese.
I said "you mean like bologna?"
They don't know what bologna is and I don't know what this is. It turns out they are basically the same thing with a slightly different taste. I really like bologna and this container was relatively cheap considering how big it is. This is a good find...well, if you like deli meats that you don't have to cook.
This is the picture my friend sent back to me and yes, that is exactly like bologna. I think that is a pretty fancy way of serving it though and perhaps Russians really like onion more than I do. When I was young we would have a piece of bologna with maybe a slice of processed cheese between two pieces of bread. It was a low-income-family lunch sandwich and that is how I will prepare it here as well. Maybe I will get fancy and toast the bread and maybe go really upscale and put some spicy mustard on it.
