Yes! Man

Whilst things are falling apart in my life, suddenly YouTube suggested a shorts from the Jim Carrey movie Yes Man, as if lighting up a fire in my head.

So I went and revisit the movie again and trying to inspire myself. I think the movie is right. I didn't get the spark when I first watch this movie years ago, but now I can relate it.

You see, the managers are being an ass, because they need to answer the management too, and the management team needs to answer the chiefs, and the chiefs needs to answer the board. So, when the board. The board wanted profit, and whomever answers to that will have to channel down their energy to their lower level.

And when that energy pass to the lowest of the entire corporation food chain, which is the trophic level (fully appreciate the convenient of AI nowadays) to produce. When you're the producer, pretty much the only answer you can produce is YES. If the boss ask you to eat shit, shit is healthy, regardless you like it or not, your answer will have to be YES. Any answer other than YES, you're being seen not cooperative.

So yes. I think I have been overthinking too much and acting like a little peachy pussey kat. The managers doesn't really want to hear what I have to say other than yes. I have been trying so hard to make things work my way, I thought it could help smoothen the process.

The point is, the bosses will not care how I will get things done. The more explanation I tell them why it can't be done, the more they are annoyed by my "incompetencies".

From now on, I'm going to be the "Yes boss man". Even if I don't agree or try not to do something I think it doesn't make sense, I will say "doing now". I know I know, this shit is becoming way too toxic that my pancreas can process. I believe the next one is going to be the same. Technically the entire industries are. Since I can't fight them, and I can't join them, at least I can try to pretend that I'm one of them 🤣
