Hi, I am Arveno from Surabaya city. In this content i want to share about our comfort food while rainy season begun.
Recently in my city everyday is rain. Only at morning until noon that cloudy and then after the rain coming it will lasting until night or even midnight. And guess what everyday the road is flooded. Thats why it can make me and my family immune drop. Even now me and my son already got common cold. We are having slime in our nose. And everyday we are cleaning up our nose using Saline Water to make the slime out from Nose and not infecting our Sinus.
So, before rain coming i want to buying Warm drink called Angsle. This drink basically is snack that is A warm, sweet, and comforting ginger-based dessert soup with various fillings like sago pearls, sticky rice, and peanuts. This snacks is really comforting us while rain. The warm feeling and the sweet taste is really boost our mood while working or even chill on house.
I almost forgot to tell you guys what i found near my house.
We are kinda shock a little bit founding this.
A dead snake. Even though it is not too big. But, this snake is still scary if it going inside our house. I dont know what caused it death. Maybe he got bumped by car or even battle with Giant lizard near here since many Giant lizard hovering aroung here also.
Lets continue about the snacks. Turns out that my wife also ordering snacks too.
This called Spikoe. Snack origin from Netherlands that developed in Indonesia and be a one of traditional famous cake in Indonesia. This cake is three layered cake that separated by cream filled like mocha,chocolate,margarin,jam, or even peanut butter. This time my wife ordered moccha and original ( that is butter ).
This moccha taste is really delicious. Combined taste between Saltiness from the butter and sweet from the cake then covered with smooth moccha taste is the best. But not too good when eating together with Angsle. The sweetness ruin all the coconut milk from Angsle. And the Ginger taste kinda dissapear. Only felt hot on throat. But, in the night i am trying combining with Chocolate milk ( from Powder not Ultra High Procceed Milk) the combination taste is really awesome. Very comfort when eating this Spikoe,drinking hot chocolate, and watching Korean Drama or Netflix movie.
