As a food lover and someone passionate about cooking, it feels good to look back and reminisce about my favorite food from outside my home.
My family used to eat out in the past years, but when the pandemic came, we hardly ever did. My health problem is among the reasons, too. I can’t stay out too long, and commuting is difficult for me, unless we hail a cab or Grab. Aside from that, eating out is very expensive nowadays, so we prefer home-cooked dishes now. That way, we can save money, and we can monitor the ingredients.
However, I still miss those bonding times with my family over delicious food at our favorite restaurants. So, I wanted to share with you some of those moments.
Every time we went to church, and some important errands, our next stop was always a restaurant.
One of my favorite restaurants is Yoshinoya. it's a Japanese fast food restaurant located mostly in bigger malls. I love their shrimp tempura, while my daughter @tegoshei loves their gyudon, and my husband loves both. Every time we went to a Japanese restaurant, I would always order a tempura bento with some side dishes.
)There are three Japanese restaurants we used to hang out at before. Aside from Yoshinoya, there's Tokyo Tokyo, which I love to dine in, too. I love their bento boxes, and their red tea. They also have some delicious desserts that we love to eat and sometimes take out.

)And the other one is Tokyo Joe. My daughter loves to eat here because she really loves their flavorful dishes, and we also love the location being at the food court because we can also choose some of my favorite seafood from other stalls, like my husband's favorite, Marina. There is a variety of seafood dishes here that we both love to eat.

From the Japanese restaurants, I'll bring you to some of the Chinese restaurants here, though I'm a bit disappointed that I forgot the name of this Chinese restaurant located at SM City, because that was a long time ago, when my mom was still alive. And I believe this restaurant has already closed.
Anyway, my mom always loves going out with us and, of course, eating out with us. It was so overwhelming to see her so happy with us and with the food.
Another Chinese restaurant is one of the very popular fast-food chains in the Philippines, which is called Chowking. Their Chinese fried chicken is so delicious and so tempting. I love their fish fillet and chicken fillet. My daughter loves their meat buns, and we all love their special halo-halo.
I also have this other Chinese restaurant that I used to eat at, even if I am alone, the Harbour City Dim Sum. Sadly, I don't have any photos, but I really love their lumpiang shanghai and steamed rice.

)Another fast-food place that we love to hang out at is Jollibee. This fast-food is also very well known in the Philippines and mostly children's favorite, especially their Chickenjoy in different flavors and servings. Children would enjoy their kiddie meal with free toys, too. Well, I love their peach mango pie here and the Aloha burger.
We used to treat my late mother and my "thanks to God" still healthy mother-in-law. They sometimes visit us at home at the same time, and I'm so happy for their closeness. Most of the time we treat them in a nearby restaurant like The Manila Foodshoppe. I also love a lot of their dishes here, especially their glazed chicken, which is very savory, their fish fillet and many more. 😊
We also love to hang out and eat some grilled food like pork barbecue, among many others. And our favorite place is Larsian. It's a grilling food market with a lot of food stalls. It’s located in the heart of Cebu.
There were two unforgettable meals I experienced. One was when we had lunch at Majestic Restaurant as a birthday treat for me from my daughter @tegoshei. I really love their food, and I also love the ambiance.
They got a lot of sumptuous, yummylicious food to choose from and I love it.
Another memorable meal was a dinner at Max's restaurant, which was unplanned. We were at SM Seaside at that time, but it was so crowded and chaotic because there were some actors having a mall tour, so we transferred to another mall, which was Robinsons Galleria. We roam to look for a not-so-crowded restaurant, and we ended up eating at Max's restaurant. And from then on, we enjoyed eating there again.
Their food was so delicious, too. And the place has a peaceful ambiance. We were so full that we decided to walk to the bus station, which was almost 20 minutes away, in order to get a ride home.
So those were some of the food and restaurants I'd love to look back at and go back to in the future. Well, there are more of them, but I don't have any photos. Maybe if I can go out again, I will surely share it here with you.
