Hello, Hive friends!
I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your day. Today, I’d love to share a simple yet memorable food stop we had during our recent trip. Sometimes, the best meals are the ones we don’t plan—and this one was exactly that!

On our way home to Bulacan, we decided to take a quick break in Gerona, Tarlac. Right across from the Gerona Police Station, we spotted a humble eatery that looked inviting enough for a lunch stop.

We ordered 3 cups of rice, 2 pork viands (I honestly forgot their names, but they were truly delicious—savory, flavorful, and cooked just right!), 2 bottles of Coke, and 2 bottles of water.

It wasn’t a fancy restaurant, but the food hit the spot perfectly. The pork dishes were rich and satisfying, paired with steaming rice that made the meal complete. Sometimes, these small eateries surprise us with flavors that rival big-name restaurants.
What made this stop special wasn’t just the food. It was the experience. Eating in a local spot, surrounded by everyday people, gave us that authentic “road trip” vibe. It reminded me that good food doesn’t always need a grand setting; it just needs heart, flavor, and the right company.
That short break in Gerona turned into a highlight of our trip. I’m glad we trusted our instincts to stop there. It gave us a meal worth remembering.
Thank you, dear readers, for joining me in this little food journey! I hope you enjoyed reading about our stopover as much as I enjoyed sharing it. Until the next food adventure, keep exploring and keep eating out!
