Hello my dearest Hivers! How have you been? I hope this blog finds you in good health and high spirits, wherever you may be. As for today, I'm going to share with you one of my documented food trips. My boyfriend and I usually have our favorite brands that we are really fond of. But this time, I felt like the routine of eating at the same restaurants couldn’t satisfy me as I wanted to experience a new dining adventure.
The familiarity of my usual dining places had me feeling altered and compelled to try something different. This time, we dined at Jonies. It was my first time trying this restaurant, and it was my boyfriend's first time too, as we always keep going back to the same brand.

The first thing we ordered was, of course, pork chop with rice and an appetizer, which was the calamares that stood out as an absolute masterpiece. Hahaha, I honestly liked this one, especially when dipped in their flavored sauce. The dish offered a crunch on the outside with delicious tenderness on the inside, where you could really taste the yummy seasonings.
I guess I would have been satisfied if I simply ate the calamares alone for the rest of our evening at the restaurant. Hahahaha, just kidding. I'm actually the type of person who gets full easily, and I hate it, which is why I'm not a fan of unlimited food restaurants. By the way, Jonies' food is really impressive. I would rate it very good even for my first dining experience because I think the staff spent ample time perfecting the flavors of their dishes until they reached their desired perfection. The service quality, along with the yummy meal, positively influenced our dining experience, and I'd say I’d consider coming back to this restaurant.
To me, making a change from our usual routine somehow brought me a sense of satisfaction. The simple moments of enjoyable conversation and shared laughter meshed perfectly with the delicious food being served. The Sinulog madness had yet to begin here, which provided us with a calm dining experience complemented by their highly recommended dishes. Also, they have other perfect combos, including desserts that you might like. As for both of us, we ordered this mango-flavored jelly. I can't remember how they named it, but it's a sweet mango-flavored dessert.
So much for this one—if you're into eating out and, like me, always returning to the same favorite brand, maybe this is the sign for you to also explore something different and new. Thanks for reading. See y'all around!
