I am fascinated to see the different decorations that can be made on cakes and different desserts, whenever I go to bakeries I always see how beautiful some cake decorations are, but the ones Zu makes I have never seen anywhere, at least in the area where I live and if these cakes were seen here they would attract a lot of attention because of the shape she gives them, the delicate and carefully placed decorations and how creative some of the designs are.
It is worth mentioning that everything you see in these cakes is 100% edible, as she always mentions, she likes to make works where everything you see is edible, so she not only knows how to decorate beautifully the cakes, but she creates edible figures that look very real and with all the possible details to make them look as realistic as possible, like this Harry Potter cake that I must say is my favorite, both because I love those movies and because of the Hedwig that she puts in the decoration, I loved it in every way.
I have always said that pastry is a very complex art that requires great skills and techniques to achieve an impeccable final result, plus all the experience, studies, learning, trials and errors, all the learning process behind each creation and it doesn't end there because she keeps learning new techniques with new challenges because there is always something new to learn. Zu is multi-talented, she not only makes beautiful cakes, she also makes watercolor art, all works that require a lot of practice and passion to make them as beautiful as she does, for that and much more we love the art she makes and I hope someday to be able to try some of her pastels.
