Hello, dear friends.
The morning of the tenth lunar month has arrived, filled with joy and excitement. Once again, the villagers in our community have joined together to hold a traditional merit-making ceremony, a time-honored tradition passed down from generation to generation. This morning's highlight is the grand parade, a perfect blend of faith, fun, and unity.
Before embarking on this grand mission, my husband and I stopped for a cup of fragrant coffee to revitalize us and energize us for the journey ahead. My talented daughter volunteered to help prepare the equipment and fully participate in the procession. I am so proud of her.
When the time came, the procession moved forward with elegance. The joyful rhythm of the long drums echoed throughout the village, attracting villagers, both children and adults, who came out to dance to the rhythm in unison, filled with smiles. Although the distance was a kilometer, the joy of the people and the obvious unity made the journey truly energetic and joyful.
We moved along familiar roads towards the temple grounds, everyone's destination for the day. Along the way, I didn't forget to grab my camera and phone to capture the impressive images, both the friendly smiles of the villagers greeting each other and the images of solidarity and cooperation that are hard to find these days. These photos will become priceless memories that I will cherish forever.

When the procession arrived at the temple grounds, everyone circumambulated the temple three times with candles, accompanied by the resonant sound of long drums. The temple grounds were filled with sacredness and palpable joy. Being a part of this important ceremony was an indescribable sense of fulfillment. After the ceremony, my family and I took this precious moment to take another family photo. It was a family photo we hadn't taken in a long time, making the day even more special.
The Boon Duan Sip festival not only serves to preserve religious traditions, but also provides an opportunity for families to reunite and showcase the strength of their unity.
After spending time with my family, I continued to participate in other activities within the temple with a happy and contented heart. This merit-making event was not just a ritual, but a time to share happiness and good memories together.
