I think it's about time the electorate took responsibility for the type of government they get. We have descended into the popularity rabbit hole, whereby people vote for an individual rather than a political party. This is why I'm totally against the American import of televised debates. They encourage populism; everyone just wants to see if their candidate can hold their own in a verbal punch-up, and it has nothing to do with presenting manifesto ideas.

I'm sick to death of hearing and seeing people say "We need a different kind of politics," because they don't know what kind of politics they actually want! And even if they have an idea, there will always be someone against it. Part of me wants to see Farage as PM, if only to see if he achieves anything different from the same old rubbish we see from all parties every five years. I refuse to believe he or his party will unleash hordes of racist thugs, drowning people as they jump off the boats at Dover. I think the racist tag is employed purely as a scare tactic to shame people into not voting for ReformUK. If you want to see a scarier party likely to take away your rights, look no further than Labour.

Hmm, you seem to be heading for 'the other party are extremists who hate our country' themes like we see from a certain US idiot and obviously isn't true. It's not like Labour are the reds of old. Farage trades off division when we need more unity. People can mostly agree on what they want and won't just blame 'others' for their problems. But there generally aren't easy fixes.

Na, I'll vote Conservative.

I guess someone has to 😁
