Because they are lonely, they don't feel loved. So, they love someone else unconditionally.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm 🤔 but some of these people have families who loved them and they love o but they still fight over celebrities matters
Because we only see what they show. I have known some personally, from outside they show that they are loved by all but they are not. No one's life is perfect, everyone is struggling with something. Same here, but I never devoted my life for someone else other than my family.
You can add this as another reason, this fan thing can't have only one answer. Everyone is different so you will see different perspectives.
