Seeing how fans of celebrities go out of the way fighting themselves on behalf of celebrities makes me wonder if something is wrong somewhere.
Why do people passionately defend celebrities they've never met, sometimes more than family or friends? Is it admiration, loyalty, or emotional attachment?
It can be all the three together. But what I feel is that the loyalty comes first because if you are loyal to someone, you go out of your way to defend such person even if they are not in the room, so I'll say that thou people will always have different reasons....
But 90% of these fans never even met these celebrities one-on-one let alone knowing them and what they can do
Yes, people who follow Jesus or Muhammad today have never met him, yet they do a lot for them. Most times, it's about loyalty and other things that follows
I don't want to say the relatable is off sha cos most of these celebrities are not really giving us anything worthy of been a follower aside entertainment of which at the end of the still corrupts the mind of people
And that is the issue right there, because it's bad to you doesn't mean it's bad to others. People love some of them for the good impact they are putting in the society, but just because one is bad doesn't mean all are. And you can just take the good from them and if you allow the corrupt side to take over you, that is your own cup of coffee 😂😅
And for some, it sense of belonging in a way that such celebrity inspires them and stands for what they support or they just love that celebrity natural like some admire Ronaldo, Messi and the rest and they can't stand it when others disrespect them....
Yeaah I still kind of reason with admiring a celebrity and not withstanding them been disrespected but some still defend some leaked acts done by thee celebrities like they know them in & out about their behaviors
That is where they loyalty aspects comes in. They call them loyal fans 😂😂those types of fans can stand till you till the end

Yeah I understand cos I've been to many before now and I've witnessed that bond as the reason why many of you would have the means of watching at home but still want to go to viewing center at all cost
However, I see it as something rediculous when they start fighting eachother because of a celebrity. It doesn't make any sense logically. You can support peaceful, but fighting eachother nah nah

That's when it becomes crazy.... Especially these **ollywood celebrities fans, you would see them having different accounts just to get back at one another. Most times these fans are the cause for fights btw these celebrities

I don't think it's normal for someone who understands his or her worth, have a life to live and wants to do better personally, to keep talking about someone who doesn't even know they exist.
It's even still fair if it's just talking about them but the whole fighting and dragging is not worth it
Admiration, loyalty and emotional attachment are way too beautiful and amazing to be compared to those attitudes I see people display for someone they claim to admire.
Especially when it's even done more than to the people around them? That's bad bad.

I don't see anything healthy about it though. The best talk you should be involved in is how to make your life and the life of those around better.

Because they are lonely, they don't feel loved. So, they love someone else unconditionally.

Because we only see what they show. I have known some personally, from outside they show that they are loved by all but they are not. No one's life is perfect, everyone is struggling with something. Same here, but I never devoted my life for someone else other than my family.
You can add this as another reason, this fan thing can't have only one answer. Everyone is different so you will see different perspectives.
