Yes, it was a common shelter for indigenous peoples of western North America.

Yeah. North america it is.. but this huts might not be fitted for the cold.. just wonder how the people can stay

They actually had fires inside with smoke flaps on the top and the shape would funnel the smoke up and out. Lots of fur blankets too I'm sure. :)

Yeah. It really is a convenient home.

Scenes like that brings you back in time.

That's where my thoughts went seeing these by the creek. What it must have been like when those were the main type of shelter.
