One of the great things about closing the streets for the FIFA fan fest is that restaurants can set up tables outside for people to enjoy themselves under the city sky. It will all go back to normal soon, but this event has shown us what is possible.
Carless streets really do make walking around a town or city so much more enjoyable. Definitely would like to see more of that.
Absolutely. This picture doesn't do it justice because the main activities are further down the road, where the fans are hanging out and enjoying the activities in the closed off strip. I'm sure it's creating traffic headaches elsewhere though.
