What food or dish are you loyal to for life, and why?
Of all the dishes in Nigeria and in my own village that I am so loyal to whenever I turn myself or lay hold of is no other food than Rice. With rice, I can cook jollof rice with grilled chicken, fried egg, as I prepared for myself yesterday, with vegetables, which I will soon get, and mix with the rice and cook, you can use moi moi, beans, and many more you can ever think of. You can introduce another thing and add to it.
Aside from enjoying yourself with this loyal dish, it's great for everyday dishes and for celebrations, birthdays, weddings, and everywhere. Rice is the best delicacy for Nigerians, while we have our best local dishes in our hometowns.
There was a day when I went to the market to buy raw beans and rice, and I took them home. I said to myself that I would finish cooking beans this time around. Before I knew, rice finished, and my beans were left, so I stood in my kitchen and laughed at myself. To show how I'm more loyal to rice than any other dish.
Children can't stay without eating rice. Just recently, my mum called me and told me that my siblings don't want to eat anything but rice, and there was no rice in the house. These children cried out, so my mum had to rush and buy rice and cook it for them.
I am so loyal to eating rice over any other food.
