If there is one special dish that I will bring to the ladies of Hive anniversary, it will be smokey jollof rice and chicken cordon bleu dipped in soy sauce and fisherman soup. It's not just food; it carries memories of laughter and love. Jollof rice is often linked to celebration and happy moments. There is no party in my country without jollof, chicken sauce, or even fish sauce.
The reason I will choose this dish is that it reminds me of home, the joy of cooking for people I love, be it every Saturday owambe or weddings, child dedication, the aroma always fills the environment. Whenever I make it, the smell of spices, ginger, and garlic and the smell of fried chicken dipped in soy sauce. Bring back memories of eating with my family, laughing and enjoying each other's company.
It shows how food can connect people and turn simple moments into lasting memories. The fisherman soup is one delicacy that is not always prepared because of how expensive it is. It is purely seafood made up of different fresh fish, periwinkle, fresh prawns, etc.
Placing this dish on the ladies of Hive anniversary table would be me sharing a part of me with everybody, it would say, I made this special dish with lots of love, and being here with you all means a lot to me. It takes love to make a special meal for the people close to your heart. My dish will stand as a symbol of love and togetherness.
