RE: A Sweet Stop on the Way: Experiencing Traditional Gurr (Jaggery, گڑ) making process.

That's very cool, my friend! Gurr sounds exactly like what is called Tapa Dulce in Costa Rica, which is sold in many places, either as solid blocks, or as a hot drink. I haven't had it in many years, but I remember it well! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Tapa Dulce is pretty much similar to Gurr, just a name difference I think. 🙂

Yep, indeed, that does seem to be the case. I would never have guessed that something made from sugarcane would be so significant in Pakistan. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Gurr is a special tradition in Punjab, Although Punjab is separated into two parts now, East Punjab (India) and West Punjab (Pakistan), but both have common traditions, culture and foods.

Thank you for that, I appreciate the information and the clarification. Does sugarcane grow well in Western Punjab/Pakistan? 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Yes, It's one of the major crop of this region. In Pakistan, Punjab and Sindh provinces are the major producers of Sugar Cane respectively.
