Oh, boy, I wish winter could come now in South Africa. We are in the middle of the summer and it's so hot.
When it's hot you don't want to spend hours in the kitchen cooking. Just a quick dish to make for dinner.
Come have a look and see what I made for us. ๐
I decided to make macaroni (penne pasta) for dinner. It was quick and easy to prepare.
I prepared the pasta first, and I cooked it in the microwave. It's quick. When the pasta was done cooking I rinsed it off with cold water.
While the pasta was cooking I started to prepare the rest of the food. Firstly cut an onion up and add it to a pot with a little bit of oil to fry and some crushed garlic.
I used beef mince for this lovely dinner.
I added the beef mince meat and some mince spice.
I brought a can of mushrooms and add it to the mince when the mince was almost cooked.
I added a can of tomato and onion relish to the pot. Stirred it nicely through. Cook for 5 minutes.
And now for making it more tasty, I took a packet of cream cheese sauce. I added 250 ml of milk poor it into a jar and added the packet of sauce and stirred it with a fork.
Then I mixed the sauce with the mince.
After I added the sauce I let it cook until it was thicker, and then I added the macaroni.
Now the food is done and ready to eat. Yum yum
This week my daughter is visiting her grandparents on the farm. Now I can do things I'm not usually get alot of time to do. She's keeping us/me so busy.
But she's adorable ๐
