And this recipe I bring to share with you is a delicious and healthy sauce made with freshly flutter pumpkin leaves 🍃 and dry cat fish. This recipe is simple and easy to prepare with just few ingredients especially if you have some spices that will give the sauce a delightful taste added to the dry cat fish 🐠 that always has its unique taste on foods and sauces.
Flutter pumpkin leave 🍃is a vegetable that is unique among other vegetables and usually can be used in varieties of cooking to add more nourishment to our foods. We can make soups or sauces to enjoy our boiled white rice 🍚, boiled potatoes and even can add it to our porridges of all kinds. Its a staple on its own and helps to boost our immune system from all the vitamin contents. A special vegetarian 🌱 delight.
We can as well prepare and enjoy this soup sauce ordinary without adding any carbohydrates to it if we wants to place ourselves on vegetable diets because its one vegetable that can help increase our blood 🩸level if constantly consumed. And adding the dry cat fish will bring it to a delightful meal you will want to prepare often without much time in the kitchen since its so straightforward in preparation.
The simple and easy step by step procedure makes it a quick sauce for a quick easy lunch 🥗 as I show it below here.
INGREDIENTS:
2 bunch of flutter pumpkin leaves 🍃
2 paste sachets of Puree onion/cherry tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon of chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 teaspoon thyme herb 🌿
1/3 teaspoon of salt
20 ml of vegetable oil
EXTRA INGREDIENT:
1 large Dry Cat Fish
2 cubes of Gino spice
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
To commence preparation of this recipe, I will start by plucking out the leaves 🍃 from the stem as above.
Step 2.
Then wash it thoroughly and leave in a basket to drain and dry.
Step 3.
Will gradually slide the leaves here above
Step 4.
Next is to cut open the paste sachets and press out the paste as above
Then will make a puree from it adding little water as above.
Step 5.
Here I will debone the fish by breaking it into pieces.
And soak it with little hot water to soften and remove dirty oil before washing it thoroughly. Keep readily.
Step 6.
Next is to heat up the veg oil, adding salt and pouring the tomato puree . And stir gently .

The curry, thyme and the chili 🌶 powder here above. Allow to cook for few minutes for the fish to tender a bit.
Step 7.
Finally will add the pumpkin leaves 🍃, stir to incorporate all the ingredients together ,
Adding the cubes and little water to enable the leave bring out more of its juice into the sauce.
Step 8.
Cover for two (2) minutes, lower heat .
And serve
If you love vegetables 🥗, you will definitely love this sauce or soup 🍲. Which ever one you wants to call it is just what you see it to be. Vegetable incorporated to meals and dishes are the best for lunch or dinner because it helps our digestive system to stay good at all times
